Questions
Before you begin
The things people ask me most often - and the things they hesitate to ask.
I've tried therapy before but it didn't help. Is your work different?
Many people I work with have had previous therapy that felt too surface-level, too slow, or simply not matched to what they carry. My work is specifically focused on complex trauma, which asks for a different approach than general talk therapy. We work with both the mind and the nervous system, at a pace that feels safe - not just productive. A good fit matters enormously, which is why the first session or initial call is the moment for both of us to be sure this is right for you.
What is complex trauma (cPTSD)?
Complex PTSD develops from repeated or prolonged exposure to distressing experiences - often in childhood, but also through difficult relationships, neglect, chronic stress, or environments where you felt unsafe or unseen. Unlike single-event PTSD, cPTSD shapes your whole sense of self and how you relate to others. It can show up as emotional dysregulation, persistent shame, difficulty trusting, feeling disconnected from yourself, and a nervous system that never quite settles. It responds very well to the right kind of support.
Do you work with couples?
Yes. Couples sessions are available online, in English or Polish. Much of what brings couples to me is not a communication problem on the surface but two nervous systems that have learned to protect themselves in ways that now collide. We work with what each of you carries as well as with what happens between you.
Do you work with clients in my time zone?
Yes. I work primarily with clients in Australia and across Europe, so I offer sessions at times that work across a wide range of time zones. When you book you'll see available slots in your local time. If you're unsure whether scheduling will work, just reach out and we'll find a time that fits.
How do I know which option is right for me?
That is exactly what a first conversation is for. There's no pressure to commit to anything - we talk about where you are, what you're carrying, and what feels right. We both need to feel that a residential program, the online program, or 1:1 sessions would work for you. I'll tell you honestly. And if I'm not the right fit, I'll say that too.
Is this confidential?
Yes. Everything you share with me is held in strict professional confidence, in line with psychological and ethical standards. The only exceptions are the narrow legal requirements that apply in every therapeutic relationship - which I'm happy to explain clearly in our first session if you'd like.
When can I start a residential program?
The residential Trauma Recovery Program admits individuals on an ongoing basis, so the start date is built around you. The VIP Rebirth Program is scheduled around your birthday. Send an enquiry and we'll arrange an initial conversation - no commitment involved.
What languages do you work in?
English and Polish. I hold my English-language practice for international clients and my Polish practice separately, and you're welcome in either.
